Bandwidth Policy
When you choose your Hosting Plan, you are allocated the amount of bandwidth/transfer you requested. As long as you stay within our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, you can use this bandwidth over the course of the month.
Excess use is charged in 1GB increments and is charged at £4.00 per GB in excess of your requested transfer. There is also an administrative fee of £5.00 per invoice that is raised for excess bandwidth use. This means that if you use an extra 1GB in transfer over your agreed amount, you will be charge £9.00. If you use 2GB extra, you will be invoiced £13.00. 3GB would be charged at £17.00.
Your Control Panel and Web Statistics show an estimate of the bandwidth/transfer your site(s) have used, but we stress that this is only an estimate. We measure actual bandwidth used from the port and we monitor ALL traffic to your web site such as HTTP, FTP, SMTP, and POP. This is a true reflection of the total amount of transfer used.
Although we measure all traffic used for your domains and websites, we only charge for traffic in one direction - depending upon what is the busiest. For instance, with web servers most traffic is likely to outgoing so we don't charge you for incoming traffic to your website or domain (unless that is the busiest direction), whereas with FTP the busiest traffic direction is usually incoming traffic.
These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
