Browser compatibility is crucial to the success of your web site.
You should wherever possible to to ensure all of your web pages are viewable and display in the major web browsers, for example Mozilla firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
- Be aware all browsers will display information slightly differently.
- Do not only construct you web site for one specific browser, as you will loose a percentage of your taget audience.
- Do not use frames as they do not show correctly in some browsers.
- Be aware some browsers might not accept cookies, or only display text.
- Try to make your web site conform to XHTML as it will ensure further compatibility.
- Try to validate all of your pages and style sheets before you put your site live.
